Matthew Mundy is a Professor at Torrens University Australia's Health and Education School, affiliated with the Centre for Healthy Futures (CHEF). He holds expertise in cognitive neuroscience, educational innovation, and student well-being. Previously serving as Academic Director for Monash Online and Education Director for Psychology at Monash University, he focuses on integrating research into teaching practices to enhance learning outcomes. His research emphasizes human learning mechanisms, academic integrity, and psychological science applications in education.
Education: PhD in Psychology from Cardiff University (2007); MSc and BSc (Hons) in Psychology & Neuroscience from the University of Liverpool (2002-2006). His work addresses UN Sustainable Development Goals related to quality education and mental health.
Research interests span neuroimaging, learning theory, immersive technologies, and staff/student well-being. He has published over 45 articles, with recent work exploring online learning integrity, student experience in digital environments, and brain structure impacts post-traumatic injury.
