Matthew MacDougall

Matthew MacDougall is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. He is affiliated with the University of Rochester Medical Faculty Group (URMFG) and Accountable Health Partners (AHP), providing expertise in Pediatrics, Pediatric Critical Care, and General Pediatrics.

• Education: MD from SUNY Upstate Medical University College of Medicine (2017).
• Training: Residency and Chief Residency at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children (2017-2021), followed by a Fellowship in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine at the University of Rochester Medical Center (2021-2024).

Dr. MacDougall's research focuses on Pediatric Critical Care and Community Health, with a particular emphasis on healthcare access disparities. His 2018 publication in the Journal of Community Health analyzed barriers to healthcare access in Syracuse, NY, reflecting his commitment to public health equity.

He has received notable awards, including the Fredrick Douglass and Susan B. Anthony Scholar Award (2023), SUNY Upstate President's Award for Research Excellence (2016), and the Roosevelt Grant (2015).
