Matthew Lloyd is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Life Sciences at the University of Bath, where he conducts research at the intersection of chemical biology, enzymology, and drug discovery. His work focuses on enzyme targets in cancer and infectious diseases, particularly alpha-methylacyl-CoA racemase (AMACR) in prostate cancer and tuberculosis. He collaborates with leading researchers including Professor K. Ravi Acharya, Professor Mike Threadgill, and Professor Tony James across disciplines to develop novel therapeutics.

His work also extends to targeting tankyrases and developing delivery systems for potent anticancer drugs.
