Matthew Landsman

Matthew Landsman is an Assistant Professor in the School of Sustainable Engineering and the Built Environment at Arizona State University (ASU), Tempe campus. His research and teaching focus on water quality and treatment, physical and chemical processes in natural and engineered systems. He also serves as an educator and researcher in environmental engineering.

Landsman's research emphasizes the development of advanced water purification technologies using synchrotron X-ray characterization, informed by his prior work at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. He teaches courses such as Environ Engineer Processes Lab (EVE 304) and Materials in the Environment (EVE 354), alongside graduate research (CEE 792).
