Matthew Hale

Matthew Hale, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor and Chair of the Master of Public Administration (MPA) Program at Seton Hall University's Department of Political Science and Public Affairs. His research focuses on the intersection of media, technology, and the public/nonprofit sectors, with notable work on nonprofit investigative journalism and policy influence. He actively engages in media commentary, appearing on NJTV’s For the Record, News 12’s Power and Politics, and national networks like CNN and Fox News. Hale also holds elected office as a Borough Council Member in Highland Park, New Jersey, chairing committees on Health and Human Services, Economic Development, and Equity.
