Matthew Dowd is a Principal Lecturer in the Department of Philosophy at the University of New Hampshire's College of Liberal Arts. He holds a Ph.D. in Philosophy from Southern Illinois University, along with an M.A. and B.A. in Liberal Arts/Sciences from the University of New Hampshire.
His research focuses on the phenomenology of creativity, particularly intercorporeal aspects of making and building. He teaches courses such as Existentialism, Philosophy and the Arts, and Social & Political Philosophy. Dowd’s office is located in Hamilton Smith Hall Rm 249B, Durham, NH.
