Matthew Countryman

Matthew Countryman is an Associate Professor in the Department of Afroamerican and African Studies and the Department of History at the University of Michigan, College of Literature, Science, and the Arts. He serves as the Director of Undergraduate Studies in DAAS, focusing on African American history, urban studies, and racial capitalism.
