Matthew Cota is a Part-Time Lecturer at the Grossman School of Business, University of Vermont. He is the owner of Meadow Hill, a Montpelier-based consulting firm specializing in management and government affairs for trade associations. With a background in journalism, he holds a BA in Political Communications (George Washington University) and a MA in Public Policy (California State University Northridge).
Professional Experience: Over 16 years managing non-profits, elected to South Burlington City Council (2021), former Chair of South Burlington Development Review Board, and founder of Split the Ticket Fund delivering 100,000+ gallons of free heating fuel.
Research & Interests: Focuses on policy implementation, public sector management, and environmental sustainability. His work bridges academia with practical governance challenges in Vermont.
