Matthew Colbrook is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics (DAMTP) at the University of Cambridge since October 2022, and a Fellow of Trinity College, Cambridge.

His research focuses on the intersection of approximation theory, neural networks, optimisation, and spectral theory, with applications to inverse problems and partial differential equations. His work develops algorithms for infinite-dimensional computations and modern machine learning techniques.
