Matthew Bengtson is an Associate Professor of Piano Literature at the University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre, and Dance, specializing in historical performance practice, piano repertoire, and music education. He holds a unique blend of expertise as a performer, scholar, and educator, with a focus on composers like Scriabin, Szymanowski, and Roberto Sierra. His academic journey includes degrees from Harvard University (Computer Science), and Peabody Conservatory (MM and DMA in Piano Performance).
