Matthew A. Wilson

Matthew A. Wilson is the Sherman Fairchild Professor of Neuroscience and Picower Scholar at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), affiliated with the Picower Institute for Learning and Memory. His research focuses on understanding neural processes underlying learning and memory formation, particularly in the hippocampus and neocortex. He employs advanced techniques like multi-neuron recordings and genetic/pharmacological manipulations to study how neural ensembles encode and replay experiences during behavior and sleep.
