Matteo Madotto is an Assistant Professor in Economics at the University of Sussex Business School. He joined the Department of Economics in September 2020. His research focuses on behavioral economics, entrepreneurship, and information economics, with a particular emphasis on how limited awareness (unawareness of outcomes) affects economic decisions.

Recent publications include studies on unawareness in portfolio optimization (2024), heterogeneous awareness in financial markets (2023), and methodological approaches to Goodwin-Type cycles (2016). These works intersect disciplines like behavioral economics, finance, and nonlinear dynamics.
