Matteo Frisoni is a researcher at King's College London's Department of Political Economy under the Faculty of Social Science & Public Policy. He joined in October 2022 and focuses on the contested nature of sustainable finance in the EU, examining tensions between risk management, financial opportunity, and climate investments.
He holds a Research Master's in Political Science from Sciences Po Paris and a Bachelor's in Political Science and International Relations from the University of Bologna. His doctoral research employs text-as-data methods and interviews to assess the interplay of financial infrastructures, geopolitics, and state roles in the climate transition.
Matteo supervises research under Dr Scott James and Dr David Hope, and teaches the Economic Policymaking course (6SSPP330). He is affiliated with the Environment and Public Policy Group, Public Policy and Regulation Research Group, and Comparative Politics Research Group.
