Matt Simpson is a Lecturer at Flinders University and serves as the Director of Flinders Legal Centre. A proud Flinders Law alumni, he has returned to the institution to lead its legal practice and contribute to legal education.
Matt specializes in civil and commercial disputes, regulatory compliance, corporate governance, and directors’ duties, with extensive experience in Australia and internationally. He has advised public authorities, corporations, educational institutions, and indigenous bodies on high-stakes legal matters.
As an academic, he was an Associate Teacher in Civil Procedure and Evidence at the University of Adelaide Law School and chaired its Advisory Board. His commitment to legal education is further highlighted by his role in establishing the Accessible Justice Project, a pro bono initiative fostering collaboration between legal practitioners and students.
