Matt Roberts, PGA, serves as the Director of Player Development for the PGA Golf Management Program at Coastal Carolina University. He joined the faculty in 2013 after gaining extensive experience in golf course operations, including his role as First Assistant at the university-owned Hackler Golf Course. Roberts holds a bachelor's degree in Marketing with a PGA Golf Management specialization (2006) and an MBA (2021) from Coastal Carolina University.
His expertise spans golf instruction, club fitting, and player development, supported by certifications in advanced golf technology and teaching systems such as Flightscope, V1 Sports, Foresight Sports, and as a PGA-certified instructor in all four areas: General Management, Golf Operations, Player Development, and Teaching. He is also a certified golf club fitter for multiple leading equipment brands.
As a full-time faculty member, Roberts focuses on bridging academic training with practical golf industry skills, contributing to the program's mission of preparing students for PGA careers.
