Matt O'Kane

Mr. Matt O'Kane is a Lecturer at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) Canberra under the School of Systems & Computing. He specializes in teaching Cyber Security Bootcamp, Digital Forensics, and Cyber Resilience. Concurrently, he serves as an Assistant Course Convenor for the UNSW School of Business (IT and Cyber) and leads as CEO of Notion Digital Forensics, a cyber incident response firm with global clients.

With over 70 cyber breach responses in five years, O'Kane brings practical expertise to his academic roles. His research interests focus on integrating cyber security into primary, secondary, and tertiary education curricula and promoting public awareness campaigns. He actively collaborates with UNSW Law Edge and serves as a guest volunteer lecturer at the University of Sydney's Sydney School of Medicine on chronic disability management.
