Dr. Matt McBride is an Associate Professor in Mathematics at Mississippi State University, serving as Undergraduate Academic Coordinator. His research specializes in functional analysis and operator theory, with particular focus on noncommutative geometry. Current investigations involve identifying abstract C*-algebras with concrete representations through crossed products and studying smooth subalgebras to form spectral triples.
Additional research interests include K-theory and K-homology applications, with the long-term goal of constructing noncommutative manifolds. He earned his PhD from Purdue University in 2012 and maintains an active research profile in mathematical analysis.
