Matt Koenig serves as Assistant Professor of Acting and Director of the BFA in Acting program at Baldwin Wallace University.
His educational background includes:
- M.F.A. in Acting from the University of California, Irvine
- B.S. in Business Management from SUNY Binghamton
Professionally, Koenig has performed at the Tony Award winning Utah Shakespeare Festival, Great Lakes Theater, Idaho Shakespeare Festival, Florida Studio Theatre, and over 60 commercials for brands including Nintendo and Sony PlayStation. He has extensive experience as a dialect/text coach and intimacy director/coordinator.
His research centers on Konstantin Stanislavsky’s Active Analysis, vocal embodiment through Fitzmaurice Voicework™ and Knight-Thompson Speechwork™, improvisation, and theatrical intimacy. He holds certifications in Knight-Thompson Speechwork™, SAFD, and DAI disciplines, and is pursuing Fitzmaurice Voicework™ certification.
