Matt Hammond

Matt Hammond serves as the Interim Director of the Norwich Clinical Trials Unit and is a member of both Norwich Medical School and the Norwich Epidemiology Centre at the University of East Anglia. His work focuses on clinical trials methodology and medical research across various therapeutic areas including diabetes management, neurological rehabilitation, and cancer prevention.

Hammond holds a Master of Science in Clinical Trials from University College London, awarded on July 1, 2018. He also serves as a Committee Member for the NIHR RfPB East of England from March 2024 to February 2027. His educational background provides foundational expertise in clinical research design and implementation.

His research interests span clinical trials methodology, diabetes management during pregnancy and postpartum, neurological rehabilitation for conditions like spatial neglect and motor neuron disease, cancer prevention through weight management, and medication adherence interventions.
