Matt Griggs is a Lecturer in Clinical Education (Global Health) at the Peninsula Medical School within the University of Plymouth's Faculty of Health. He holds dual roles as Programme Lead for the BSc Paramedic Science and co-Lead of the Global Health Collaborative. His work focuses on advancing global health education, humanitarian response, and sustainable healthcare access in underserved regions.

Research interests include remote/rural medicine, health systems in disaster zones, and cross-border healthcare partnerships. He co-founded a Nepal-UK collaboration with Siddhastali Rural Community Hospital to develop training programs and sustainable first-aid initiatives in rural communities. Current projects include designing new MSc pathways in Remote/Expedition Medicine and Diving Medicine.
Teaching responsibilities span BSc Paramedic Science (clinical decision-making) and MSc Global Health modules on humanitarian emergencies and remote medicine. He recently led a student field project in Nepal to pilot healthcare training programs.
