معرفی
Matt Ginder-Vogel is a Professor in the Civil and Environmental Engineering, Geological Engineering, and Freshwater and Marine Sciences departments at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. His research focuses on environmental biogeochemistry, particularly the interactions between minerals and aqueous contaminants, with applications to groundwater quality and aquifer geochemistry.
Research Interests:
- Trace element detection (arsenic, radium, chromium)
- Particulate organic matter transport and transformation
- Manganese oxide reactivity in contaminant oxidation
- Aquifer geochemical modeling and radionuclide mobility
- Environmental analytical techniques (SERS, ICP-MS, XANES)
Recent Publications highlight his work on radium mobilization in aquifers, phenol oxidation kinetics, and machine learning-based contaminant prediction models. He leads the Environmental Biogeochemistry Lab and investigates processes at the mineral-water interface using experimental and computational approaches.
