Mats Ehrnstrom

Mats Ehrnstrom is a Professor at the Department of Mathematical Sciences, Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). His research focuses on nonlinear and nonlocal dispersive partial differential equations, particularly in the context of water waves, with an emphasis on steady waves, critical layers, Whitham-type equations, and data-driven PDEs. He leads the RCN Large-scale Interdisciplinary Researcher Project IMod (2022–2028), integrating PDEs, statistics, and data science.
