Mats Andersson is a Senior Lecturer in Production and Materials Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering (LTH), Lund University. His research focuses on manufacturing processes, particularly machining, surface generation, and induction heating systems, with applications in CFRP processing and soft magnetic materials.
- Expertise aligned with UN Sustainable Development Goals: Production Engineering, Human Work Science, and Advanced Manufacturing.
Recent work emphasizes numerical modeling of induction heating processes in composite materials, tool optimization in machining, and magnetic property evolution during tempering. He actively contributes to interdisciplinary research through collaborations in Sweden and internationally.
Key projects include the completed dissertation-level initiative "Induction heating of carbon fibre reinforced polymer composites" (2015-2022), where he served as a supervisor.
