Matilde Bongianni is a Temporary Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurosciences, Biomedicine and Movement Sciences at the University of Verona. Her academic sector is MEDS-26/A (Biotechnology and Methods in Laboratory Medicine), with research interests in neurological disorders, neural development, and aging of the nervous system. She leads projects such as the development of molecular tests for Parkinson’s disease and Alzheimer’s diagnosis, including an automated chemiluminescent enzyme immunoassay analyzer for cerebrospinal biomarkers (started 2019) and an olfactory mucosa-based diagnostic test for degenerative dementias (2016).
