Matias Daniel Buchholz

Matias Daniel Buchholz is an Academy Research Fellow at the University of Helsinki, affiliated with the Faculty of Arts and Department of Languages. His academic role focuses on papyrology and historical linguistics, with specific expertise in carbonized papyri from Petra and Bubastos. He holds the title of Docent and leads multiple research initiatives funded by the Research Council of Finland.

Buchholz's research centers on papyrology, Greek/Latin language contact, and Byzantine legal terminology. His work spans:
