Mathilde Collin is a Lecturer in Public Law at the University of Tours, affiliated with the Faculty of Law, Economics and Social Sciences and the Institute of Interdisciplinary Legal Research (IRJI). She has held this academic position since 2003 while concurrently serving as Deputy Mayor of Tours for education and training since 2014.
Her research centers on three core themes: the complex relations between French local authorities and European institutions, mechanisms for ensuring civil servant accountability, and contemporary approaches to modernizing public administration. She teaches specialized courses including Administrative Law, Administrative Science, Administrative Institutions, and Constitutional Law with current affairs applications.
Holding an Authorization to Direct Research (HDR), Dr. Collin possesses the qualification to supervise doctoral candidates. She actively contributes to the Institute of Interdisciplinary Legal Research (IRJI), where her work bridges theoretical legal frameworks with practical governance challenges in French public administration.
