Mathias Bähr

Prof. Mathias Bähr leads the Department of Neurology at the University Medical Center Göttingen (UMG) and is affiliated with the German Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases (DZNE). His research addresses high-impact neurological conditions including stroke and neurodegenerative disorders, which affect 250-300 patients annually per 100,000 Europeans and cause significant long-term disability.

His laboratory investigates:
