Prof. Mathias Albert is a researcher at the University of Bielefeld and has been a Visiting Researcher at the WZB (Berlin Social Science Center) within its Research Department Global Governance. His primary affiliation is as a Professor at the University of Bielefeld.
- Resided at WZB from November 2010 to April 2011 as part of the Transnational Conflicts and International Institutions (TKI) unit.
Research interests focus on world society theory, international relations, and youth studies. Key projects include co-editing a volume with Michael Zürn (WZB) and Barry Buzan (LSE), and authoring a monograph analyzing the evolution of international politics and world societal differentiation since the 19th century.
