Mateusz Felczak

Dr. Mateusz Felczak is an Assistant Professor at SWPS University, affiliated with the School of Humanities and the Department of Cultural Studies. He specializes in the intersection of digital culture, gaming, and media studies, with a focus on esports, game monetization models, and fan communities. His research spans Europe and Asia, including collaborations with Jagiellonian University's Center for Game Research and City University of Hong Kong's School of Creative Media.

He leads the National Science Centre-funded grant project "Mass e-sport events in Poland and Hong Kong", analyzing large-scale esports events through grounded theory, Goffman's frame analysis, and paratextual frameworks. At SWPS University, he teaches courses on digital humanities, gaming culture, and music in new media.
