Massimo Solzi

Prof. Massimo Solzi is a Full Professor in Experimental Physics of Matter at the Department of Mathematical, Physical and Computer Sciences (SMFI) of the University of Parma. He coordinates the Physics Unit within SMFI and co-leads the Parma Research on Magnetism Laboratory (PaRMA). His research spans magnetic materials, multiferroics, and magnetocaloric effects, with a focus on energy conversion applications.

Education:

• 1988: Diploma in Science and Technology of Materials (University of Parma, Thesis: "Coercivity mechanisms in NdFeB-type permanent magnets")
• 1984: Laurea in Physics (Solid State Physics, University of Parma, Thesis: "Energy transfer between dopants in alkali halogen matrices")
