Masayuki Fujita is a Professor at the Department of Mechanical and Control Engineering, Tokyo Institute of Technology. He also serves as a Program Officer for the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) Core Research for Evolutional Science and Technology (CREST). Previously, he held faculty positions at Kanazawa University and Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology.
Research Interests: His work focuses on
- Passivity-based control in robotics
- Applied robust control systems
- Smart energy management for microgrids
Scientific Awards:
- 2008 IEEE Transactions on Control Systems Technology Outstanding Paper Award
- 2010 SICE Education Award
- Outstanding Paper Awards from the SICE
Fujita has held leadership roles in academic societies, including Vice President of the CSS Conference Activities, Head of the SICE Technical Division on Control, and editorial roles for journals such as IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control and Automatica. His recent seminar discussed cooperative control techniques for smart microgrids using game theory and solar forecasting.
