María Sebastián Sebastián

María Sebastián Sebastián is a Professor at the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB) in the Department of Historical Sciences and Theory of the Arts. She holds a PhD in Art History from UIB, an architectural degree from UPC, and a Master’s in Cultural Heritage from UIB.

Her research focuses on contemporary architecture, particularly tourism-related works, and the history of photography. She has participated in national and international research projects, earning the 2016 Premi Ciutat de Palma Research Grant and the 2022 Wiley Research Fellowship from the Royal Geographical Society.

Her teaching spans Art History, Building Design, and Cultural Heritage programs, including courses like 'Historia de la Fotografía' and 'Massmedia y Lenguajes Audiovisuales.'
