María Poveda Villalón

María Poveda Villalón is an Assistant Professor in the Artificial Intelligence Department at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM). She holds a PhD in Artificial Intelligence (Cum laude, 2016) and has held research positions at UPM since 2007. Her work focuses on ontology engineering, semantic web technologies, and IoT interoperability.

Research Interests: Ontology evaluation methodologies, ontology reuse frameworks, semantic interoperability in IoT, and standardization efforts (e.g., W3C Web of Things, ETSI SAREF). She co-developed OOPS! and OnToology, tools for ontology diagnosis and collaborative management.
