María Luisa Bonet Piña

Dr. María Luisa Bonet Piña is a Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB). She is a senior researcher in the Nutrigenomics, Biomarkers and Risk Assessment (NuBE) group and serves as Scientific Secretary of the Laboratory of Molecular Biology, Nutrition and Biotechnology (LBNB). She is affiliated with the Biomedical Research Network Center for the Pathophysiology of Obesity and Nutrition (CIBERobn) and the Balearic Islands Health Research Institute (IdISBa).

As an academic leader, she teaches core courses in molecular nutrition, energy homeostasis, and nutrigenomics at both undergraduate (Biochemistry Bachelor's) and graduate levels (Nutrigenomics and Personalized Nutrition Master's). Her expertise spans molecular biology, nutritional science, and metabolic regulation.
