María Belén Toja Reboredo

María Belén Toja Reboredo is a Professor at the University of A Coruña, affiliated with the Faculty of Sports Sciences and Physical Education and the Department of Physical and Sports Education. She holds a PhD and serves as Vice Dean of Student Orientation, External Placements, and Infrastructure at the Faculty since May 2025. Her research focuses on education, health, and physical activity through a gender studies lens, as part of the research group "Educación, salud y actividad física: estudios de género."

She teaches core subjects such as Pedagogical and Didactic Bases in Physical Activity and Sport and Qualitative Methodology in Physical Activity and Sports Sciences, alongside supervising final year and master's dissertations in sports science and education programs. Notable academic leadership roles include membership on the Faculty Council, Departmental Board, and Library Commission since 2013.

Her research includes a funded project (2000–2002) analyzing mediators of learning in student-athletes. She actively contributes to interdisciplinary projects promoting active lifestyles and sociocultural inclusion through physical activity, with a focus on gender and health equity.
