Maryam Tahvildari

Dr. Maryam Tahvildari is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at Yale School of Medicine. She completed her medical degree at Tehran University of Medical Sciences and pursued postdoctoral training at Harvard Medical School’s Schepens Eye Research Institute. Her clinical expertise includes corneal and anterior segment diseases, refractive surgery, and autoimmune uveitis. She holds board certification in Ophthalmology from the American Board of Ophthalmology (2022).

Dr. Tahvildari’s work bridges clinical practice and research, emphasizing compassionate patient care while mentoring residents and advancing ocular immunology. Her awards include the David Barsky Research Award and the Kresge Lawrence Stocker Award for clinical excellence.
