Maryam Aramesh is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at McMaster University's Faculty of Engineering. She specializes in advanced manufacturing and surface engineering, with a focus on machining difficult-to-cut materials, lubricant development, and failure diagnostics.

Her research spans material behavior under extreme machining conditions, reliability analysis, and predictive maintenance methodologies. She has developed a patented dual-functioning lubricant and novel post-treatment techniques for cutting tools, contributing to the Advanced Materials & Manufacturing research cluster.
