Mary Ziegler is the Martin Luther King Jr. Professor of Law at the University of California, Davis School of Law. She specializes in the law, history, and politics of reproduction, healthcare, and conservatism in the U.S. since 1945. A leading historian of abortion debates and a Guggenheim Fellow, her work bridges legal scholarship and public discourse.
Education: Harvard Law School (J.D., cum laude, 2007); Harvard College (B.A., magna cum laude in English and American Literature, 2004).
Research Interests: Reproductive rights, constitutional law, legal history, gender/sexuality studies, and the intersection of law and social movements.
