Mary C. White is an Adjunct Professor in the Gangarosa Department of Environmental Health at Emory University's Rollins School of Public Health. She retired from federal service in 2023 after roles including Branch Chief at the CDC's Division of Cancer Prevention and Control. Her expertise spans epidemiology, cancer prevention, and environmental health, with a focus on translating research into public health practice.
Education: BA from University of Rochester, MPH in Epidemiology from University of Michigan, ScD in Epidemiology & Occupational Health from Harvard University.
Research Interests: Cancer prevention strategies, chronic disease management, environmental health risks, health disparities, and social determinants of health. Her work emphasizes evidence-based approaches to address public health challenges like air pollution risks and cancer control.
