Dr. Mary Trotter, Assistant Professor of Music at Arkansas Tech University's School of Arts & Humanities, is a distinguished coach-accompanist renowned for her lyrical piano artistry and expertise in collaborative performance. Her work emphasizes the integration of text and melody, with notable performances including Schumann's Dichterliebe with the Cantus Vocal Ensemble and Morten Lauridsen's Mid-Winter Songs with Kantorei Choir.

Dr. Trotter's research focuses on storytelling through music, particularly highlighting marginalized voices in American music history. She actively presents at academic institutions including Yale, Colorado State, and University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
As an educator, she teaches applied piano (MUS 1201-1202, 3201-3202), class piano (MUS 1441), and music fundamentals (MUS 2003). She also serves as pianist for professional events of the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) and National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS), and participates in the Schmidt Vocal Institute faculty.
