Mary Tone Rodgers is an Adjunct Professor in the School of Business at the State University of New York at Oswego, specializing in MBA programs. She holds an MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg School (1981), a doctorate from Pace University (2011), and is a CFA Charterholder. Her career includes over 30 years at Merrill Lynch and current advisory work in asset management.
Research focuses on financial markets, banking, and historical financial crises, particularly the Panic of 1907. She holds a Harvard Business School Chandler Research Travel Fellowship and has presented at institutions like the National Bureau of Economic Research and Oxford University. Her work appears in journals like Review of Financial Economics and Journal of Economic History. She co-authored a book under contract with Cambridge University Press (2024) on J.P. Morgan’s crisis lending pre-Federal Reserve.
Awards include the SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Teaching (2022) and the President's Award for Academic Advisement (2015). Her articles analyze systemic risk, central bank interventions, and historical financial dynamics, often linking past crises to modern systemic challenges.
