Anthony T. Garcia is an Instructor of Finance at Seton Hall University's Department of Finance within the Stillman School of Business. He joined the faculty in 2016, having previously served as Director of Administrative Services and Director of Scheduling & Analysis for the Stillman School since 2015.
Education: MBA in Finance, Marketing, and Management from Harvard University (1982); BA in Economics from Princeton University (1978). His career spans roles as an investment banker at Morgan Stanley, Merrill Lynch, and Lehman Brothers, followed by entrepreneurial ventures and over 20 years as a corporate director for publicly-traded finance companies.
Research interests focus on financial strategy, corporate governance, and financial decision-making. His notable work includes analyzing Fortune 100 fastest-growing companies' growth sustainability.
Currently serves as an academic and career advisor to undergraduate Finance majors and advises the Stillman team in the CFA Research Challenge. Taught courses include Mergers & Acquisitions, Money & Banking, and Financial Strategy.
