Mary Tabb Foley is a Lecturer and former Student Program Coordinator in the Early Childhood Specializations (ECS) within the Department of Human Development & Family Sciences at the University of Connecticut. She joined UConn’s Stamford Campus in 2012, introducing the ECS program there to address regional educational needs, and transitioned to the Storrs Campus in Fall 2022. Her career spans early childhood education, special education, and mental health consultation.
Education: B.A. from UConn, M.A. in Early Childhood Education/Early Childhood Special Education from the University of Saint Joseph, and CT Teacher Certification (birth–kindergarten).
Research and professional focus includes infant and toddler development, community-based early education programs, and mental health support for young children through initiatives like the Early Childhood Consultation Partnership (ECCP). She advocates for holistic child development, emphasizing caregiver support and inclusive education.
