Mary Roley

Mary Roley is a Lecturer at the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee's Peck School of the Arts, teaching Sculpture and 3D Foundations in the First Year Program. She also teaches design courses in UWM’s exchange program with Hubei University of Technology in Wuhan, China. Her expertise spans sculpture, metal fabrication, glass working, and printmaking.

Education:

• BS in Landscape Architecture, University of Wisconsin–Madison
• BA in Studio Art and Women’s Studies, University of Redlands, California

Research & Practice: Mary’s work integrates sculpture with landscape architecture, evident in projects like the Goodwin Community Center spray park. Her artistic research focuses on glass and metal sculpture, showcased in galleries such as the Maude Kearns Art Center and Innova Gallery at UWM.

• Joan Mitchell Foundation award nominee
• Two faculty development awards for artistic research

Professional Contributions: Collaborated on large-scale landscape projects and participated in international exchange programs. Active in exhibitions and artist lectures, including the Artist Now Lecture Series in China.
