Mary Rigdon

Mary Rigdon is Director of the University of Arizona Center for the Philosophy of Freedom and Associate Professor in the Department of Political Economy and Moral Science. Her NSF-supported research investigates gender differences in competitiveness and their impact on wage gaps. She employs experimental methods to study prosocial incentives and cooperative strategies.

Rigdon's work integrates behavioral and experimental economics, focusing on how social incentives affect gender equity in economic and political contexts. Her findings have been published in PNAS, Evolution and Human Behavior, and Philosophical Transactions B. She presents regularly at academic and public forums including SXSW and NSF lectures.
