Mary McKemy is an Adjunct Faculty member in the Department of Psychology at Winthrop University's College of Arts and Sciences. With over 30 years of teaching experience since 1990, she has taught at multiple institutions including University of Alabama, University of Memphis, and Winthrop University.
- Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology (University of Memphis)
- M.A. in Educational Psychology (University of Alabama)
- B.S. in English and Counseling (University of Montevallo)
Her clinical expertise spans Student Success, Nutritional Effects in Psychological Disorders, and therapeutic applications in educational contexts. She teaches clinically-oriented courses including "Abnormal Psychology," "Theories of Personality," and "Clinical Psychology."
In addition to academic work, Dr. McKemy maintains a private practice offering therapy and psychological testing, with experience across diverse settings: adolescent inpatient programs, residential treatment centers, college counseling centers, and psychiatric offices. She also provides public seminars and daycare consultation services.
