Mary LaMagna serves as an Assistant Professor of Practice in the Department of Nursing at Linfield University, leveraging over twenty years of clinical nursing experience across diverse healthcare settings.

Her research centers on improving LGBTQ healthcare access and analyzing how the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted nursing student transitions into clinical practice. This work builds on her extensive frontline background in pediatric specialties (medical/surgical, hematology/oncology, intermediate care, NICU), high-risk women's health, fetal monitoring, and dementia care management.

Mary previously held a clinical adjunct position at Linfield University before advancing to her current faculty role, demonstrating a career trajectory from bedside nursing to academic leadership. Her clinical management experience in assisted living facilities further informs her educational approach to complex patient care scenarios.
