Associate Professor Mary Kavurma leads the Vascular Complications Group at the Heart Research Institute and serves as Associate Director of Research and Education there. She holds an academic appointment at the University of Sydney as an Associate Professor. With a PhD from the University of New South Wales (2003) and postdoctoral experience at Cambridge University (2004-2007), her research program focuses on molecular mechanisms in vascular biology.
