Mary K. Laurents

Mary K. Laurents is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of History at Stevenson University and the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC). Her academic work focuses on the socio-linguistic, sociological, and cultural mechanisms behind the Lost Generation narrative in Britain during the First World War and its long-term influence on British culture, politics, and policy. She is currently a PhD candidate in the Language, Literacy, and Culture program at UMBC, where her research expands on her MA thesis in Historical Studies at the same institution.
