Daniel Ritschel

Daniel Ritschel is an Associate Professor at the Department of History at UMBC (University of Maryland, Baltimore County). As Founding Director of the Center for History Education, he specializes in the economic and political history of modern Britain.

His research focuses on the intersection of economic policy and political development in 20th-century Britain, exemplified by his book The Politics of Planning: The Debate on Economic Planning in Britain in the 1930s and current project on business politics (1900-1951).
